Aaron Hill for Fargo Park District Press Release

Aaron Hill is announcing his candidacy for the office of Fargo Park Board Commissioner. Hill was born in Minot, ND and later moved to Fargo. He graduated from Shanley High School, received a B.A. in Political Science from St. John’s University (Collegeville, MN), and an M.S. in Strategic Leadership from University of Mary (Bismarck, ND). He is a co-founder of Fargo Brewing Company and currently serves as Sales Manager.

Hill worked for the Fargo Park District summer youth baseball/softball program at Lindenwood Park for seven seasons and was an active basketball referee for over ten years. He served as Chair of the Fargo-Moorhead Young Professionals Network and a Restorative Justice Volunteer from 2010 to 2011. He served as the North Dakota Young Professionals Network Chair from 2011 to 2012. Hill was honored as a Prairie Business Magazine 40 Under 40 nominee and founded the F-M Alumni Chapter for St. John’s University in 2012. He served on the Human Relations Commission for the City of Fargo from 2013 to 2015. Hill was a Public Relations Ambassador for The Chamber from 2018 to 2021 and volunteered on the Fargo Core Neighborhoods Plan Sub-Area Steering Committee.

Hill joined the St. John’s University Alumni Board in 2021, recently joined the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties, and is an active volunteer for the Fargo Theatre. Hill lives with his wife, Brianne, and three young children (ages 9, 6 & 4) in North Fargo and is active in coaching youth sports.

I plan to take my entrepreneurial mindset and use a proactive approach to move Fargo Parks forward. I will utilize my skills to help people with differing perspectives find a common purpose and work together for the greater good of Fargo.”
